[SPOILER ALERT: The following story reveals the winners of The Voice. Read at your own risk.]
It was the season that turned Purrfect the Cat into a household name, made opera cool again and transformed a Mickey Mouse Club friendship into a bitter reality TV feud, and Tuesday night marked the end of the second season of The Voice. Who won? Read on to find out.
At the end of the two-hour show, host Carson Daly announced that Mann came in fourth. More shocking was the third-place singer — Lucca — a fan and media favorite because of his Mickey Mouse Club roots and his sparring with fellow MMC-er Christina. Simms followed in second place, and Daly named Paul, the former Alicia Keys back-up singer, the winner of The Voice. "Thank you! I just want to say thank you to everyone that voted for me ... everyone that supported from the beginning," the 33-year-old from New York said. "Nobody but Jesus, man!"
Paul closed the show with an emotional performance of his winning song from Monday's final performance show, R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly."
