Nic (Emily VanCamp) may have been fired on The Resident, but that's not going to stop her from trying to bring those responsible for Lily's (Violett Beane) death to justice.

Since Dr. Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes) allegedly framed Nic for Lily's death, she isn't allowed on hospital grounds let alone near patients, but the determined nurse isn't giving up. After discovering that Lily isn't the only patient that Hunter has overdosed with chemo, Nic wants to make sure that Hunter can't hurt another patient again — but she needs to prove her theory first.

The Resident Exclusive: Nic's Career Is in Jeopardy

In this exclusive clip of Monday's (May 7) episode, Nic ambushes one of her colleagues in the hospital parking lot, hoping to get a patient's blood sample and have it independently tested to prove that Hunter is giving patients too much chemo. No one wants to be blacklisted the way that Nic is though so her friend isn't inclined to help — at all.

With Hunter breathing down Conrad's (Matt Czuchry) neck, who is going to help Nic clear her name and save future patients?

The Resident airs Mondays at 9/8c on Fox.
