Either The Resident'sDr. Lane Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes) has the world's best poker face or the woman is a sociopath.

TV Guide has an exclusive clip from Monday's episode of the medical drama in which Conrad (Matt Czuchry) insists an autopsy be performed on Lily (Violett Beane) in hopes of revealing that her heart stopped due to a chemo overdose. If Conrad and Nic (Emily VanCamp) are right about Lily's cause of death it would prove that Dr. Hunter was over prescribing chemotherapy to milk money out of Lily and her insurance company.

The head of the hospital, Claire Thorp (Merrin Dungey), agrees to Conrad's suggestion because she wants to ensure the hospital isn't liable, but Hunter is way too onboard with the idea if she's actually the one at fault. There's not a trace of worry that the autopsy results could signal any wrongdoing on her part, which has Conrad and Nic thrown for a serious loop.

Pay close attention though, because Hunter asks Thorp if she can be notified immediately when the results come in. Perhaps she's planning to doctor the findings before anyone can find out what she did? Let's be honest, doctors at this hospital have done a lot worse.

The Resident airs Monday at 9/8c on Fox.
