The Killing Nabs Elias Koteas for Season 3

The recently resurrected The Killinghas begun beefing up its cast.

Elias Koteas has been cast a series regular for the AMC drama's third season, TVGuide.com has learned. He will play Ed Skinner, an intense but well-trusted cop and former partner of Sara Linden (Mireille Enos). Although he's seen as an upstanding guy, he does keep a short-term affair with a co-worker from his wife. Could he and Linden share a romantic past?

AMC resurrects The Killing for a third season

The third season picks up a year after Detectives Linden and Holder (Joel Kinnaman) solved Rosie Larsen's murder. Although Linden has moved on, she is pulled back in when Holder's search for a runaway girl leads to a discovery of a string of gruesome murders connected to a previous murder investigation led by Linden. Perhaps her old partner will be called in to lend his memories as well.Koteas, who's appeared in such films as Fallenand The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starred in the short-lived ABC series Combat Hospitaland has appeared on such shows as The Sopranosand CSI: NY.
