There are no words to describe the elation when it was announced that The Bold Type was renewed for both Season 2 and 3 this fall, but now TV Guide has learned that a valuable asset of the show might not make the jump... and we are very upset about it.

The Fashion Closet of Scarlet Magazine was a central set piece of the show's first season, giving Jane (Katie Stevens), Sutton (Meghann Fahy) and Kat (Aisha Dee) a beautiful, comforting place to converge during work hours to sort out their latest crisis. The Fashion Closet held all of the leftover items from Scarlet fashion shoots and runway shows, making it a wardrobe and make-up fantasy zone. Dreams were born, hearts were mended and yoni eggs were pulled out of vaginas in that closet — but we might not see the sacred space in the sophomore season due to the girls' movement in their lives.

Jane has left Scarlet for a job that scares her and, for at least the top of the season, Kat is traveling the world with Adena (Nikohl Boosheri). So the only one with access to the closet is Sutton, but the magic wilts if she has to hang out in there alone.

Instead, the trio will have to find a new place to hang out. Katie Stevens was able to give a little hint of where that could be when TV Guide talked to her on the Freeform Summit red carpet in Los Angeles last month before the show started production on Season 2.

"They are going to be building Sutton and Jane's apartment as a set that we have on our stages so we will be spending a little more time there and that will be cool," she said. "It'll be interesting to add a bit of tension because I think Jane is going to have some serious FOMO [fear of missing out] about not being in that closet."

Okay, fine. We know that the most important thing is that the trio maintain their relationships and they can turn any central location into "their spot," but ugh, we are going to miss the beauty of that closet, and the memories!

The Bold Type Season 2 premieres June 12 on Freeform.
