There are only a few tears this season, and some of them are even happy tears
Ashley Iaconetti become a favorite on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise because she always wore her heart on her sleeve. And by "wearing her heart on her sleeve," I mean "crying a lot." She's so known for crying that commercials for The Bachelor Winter Games, the franchise's upcoming winter spin-off, make her tears their centerpiece. But Ashley doesn't even cry that much this season, she swears!
"I think I'm going to surprise you guys," she tells TV Guide. "There's a couple happy tears in there."
Ashley's a little coy on what she's happy about, though, so you'll have to tune in to find out what (or who) is the source of her joy. But Ashley did confirm that the winter chill on the set in her native Vermont didn't effect her crying as much as you'd think.
"Everybody was joking before the games started that my tears were gonna freeze to my cheeks, because there were nights where it was seven degrees and that's without wind chill factored in," Ashley says, adding that she was initially worried that her face was going to be a "dry, cracky mess" from the combination of tears and cold and dehydration. Fortunately, her lack of tears saved her from such a fate.
Everything You Need to Know About The Bachelor Winter Games
But while Ashley swears she wasn't constantly crying on Bachelor Winter Games, she does think that her historic propensity for waterworks may disqualify her from ever starring on The Bachelorette. "According to the internet, half of people out there do not want my tears anymore," she explains.
Well, we're on the half of the internet that can't get enough!
The Bachelor Winter Games premieres Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 8/7c on ABC.
