Terry Kennan, a former CNN and Fox News Anchor, died Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was 53.

Keenan passed away suddenly of a massive cerebral hemorrhage. She was most recently a Sunday business columnist for the New York Post. Her last column posted on Oct. 19.

More celebrity deaths

After graduating from Johns Hopkins University in 1983 with a degree in mathematics, Keenan began her career as a producer on PBS' Wall Street Week. She joined CNN Business News in 1986 as a producer for Moneyline before becoming an on-air correspondent. During this time, she reported on the 1987 stock market crash and was the first journalist to report live from the New York Stock Exchange.

Keenan worked for CNBC as an anchor from 1995 to 1998. She then returned to CNN and served as a correspondent for Moneyline and anchored its weekend edition. She then joined Fox News in 2002 where she worked as an anchor and business correspondent for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Channel, hosting the investing program Cashin' In. She left Fox News in 2009.

Keenan is survived by her husband, Ron Kass; their son, Benjamin Kass; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday in Manhattan.
