Hickey will play Tom Moore, a man who comes home from a business trip to find his young son Nicky is missing from his bed. The investigation leads to Arquette and Boone, who portray a criminal couple known for child endangerment and pornography who are spotted with Nicky. The search for the diabetic boy becomes a race against time as his insulin pump runs out, and the cops must try to turn one suspect against the other before it's too late.
The episode, titled "Wednesday's Child," will air on Feb. 5.
The Big C vet Hickey, who will pop up on Modern Family, previously played an A.D.A. on two episodes of SVU in 2000. Arquette, best known for films like Pulp Fiction, most recently appeared on Ray Donovan. Boone stars as Bobby Munson on Sons, which kicks off its final season in the fall.
Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
