The one-hour special featured a candid look at Susan Boyle's journey from a small Scottish village to worldwide fame after her appearance on Britain's Got Talent. The telecast, hosted by Piers Morgan, included performances of several songs from Boyle's chart-topping album, including "Who I Was Born to Be" and "Cry Me a River."  Boyle also sang a duet with British theater actor Elaine Paige — whom Boyle cited as an inspiration during her first Britain's Got Talent audition — and performed with the London cast of Les Miserables.
