TMZ reports there was a passenger in Knight's car at the time of the incident, and that Knight later fled the scene.

Knight most recently suffered a blood clot in his lung in late 2014 stemming from when he was shot at a pre-party for the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

He is also awaiting trial for the alleged theft of a camera from a female photographer in September. He pled not guilty in November, and was scheduled to return to court on Jan. 27.
