Stephen Colbert delivered a meaningful, but humorous monologue about Monday's Boston Marathon bombings at the start of the Tuesday night edition of Colbert Report.
"Whoever did this obviously did not know sh-- about the people of Boston," he began. "'Cause nothing these terrorists do is gonna shake them. For Pete's sake, Boston was founded by the pilgrims, a people so tough they had to buckle their goddamn hats on!"

During the two-minute speech, Colbert referenced notable Bostonians who are fighters, like the Red Sox who had an 86-year losing streak and Aerosmith, who's still performing five decades after they formed.
But the best part was the end when Colbert passionately said, "These maniacs may have tried to make life bad for the people of Boston, but all they can ever do is show just how good those people are," before explaining how many racers ran an additional 2 miles to the hospital to donate blood.
