Katie Couric, who co-founded SU2C, will also host a "digital lounge" on set, in which stars will reach out to viewers through phone, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms. "Since we started Stand Up To Cancer in 2008, social media has exploded, creating a whole new way to connect," Couric said. "So in an unprecedented way, we'll have plenty of stars reaching out to donors via social media, thanking them through Facebook messages, digital shout outs, Instagrams and tweets. In other words, this year, we are so 2014!"

To date, SU2C has raised more than $261 million.

The fundraiser will be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. ABC Family, Bravo, E!, FXM, HBO, LMN, Logo, Oxygen, Showtime, Starz, TNT, VH1 and various other networks will also air the telecast commercial-free. The show will be streamed live on Hulu and Yahoo! as well.
