Clint Eastwood is attracting some controversial attention again, this time for a joke about Caitlyn Jenner made at Spike TV's Guys' Choice 2015 Awards that will be cut from the broadcast later this month, People reports.

While pre-taping the show Saturday night, Eastwood was introducing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and remarked upon the San Andreas star's leap from athlete to actor. According to Hollywood Life, Eastwood compared Johnson's career change to other former athletes who have become actors, like "Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody...".

The joke didn't go over well with the crowd, who groaned. Eastwood said that he knew the joke wouldn't work when he brought it up with producers. (Yet he decided to give it a shot anyway?)

The joke will be removed from the broadcast set for June 18, David Schwarz, Spike TV senior vice president of communications, told People on Monday.

What do you think of the decision? Was Clint's joke really that bad?
