SPIDER-MAN CAST GROWS

Cliff Robertson, Rosemary Harris and J.K. Simmons have joined the cast of Spider-Man, Columbia's eagerly anticipated live-action film based on the Marvel comic book. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robertson and Harris will play Uncle Ben and Auntie May, the guardians of Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man (played by Tobey Maguire). Simmons, meanwhile, will appear as Parker's boss at the Daily Bugle. The Spider-Man cast also includes Kirsten Dunst as Parker's girlfriend Mary Jane, Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, James Franco as the Goblin's son Harry, and Bruce Campbell as a ring announcer. The film is slated to be released on May 3, 2002.
