If you only watched Southland in its first season on NBC or you've never seen TV's grittiest and most realistic cop show, here's a chance to catch up on TNT's riveting, beautifully acted Seasons 2, 3 and 4. Warner Bros. Home Video is releasing a new DVD set on Tuesday, a week ahead of Season 5's premiere (Wednesday, Feb. 13, 10/9c, TNT).

Southland: The Complete Second, Third and Fourth Seasons, a six-disc set, includes all 26 episodes — bleeped expletives included — plus some unaired scenes and several special features that offer commentary from producers and cast. The extras include the story behind the creation of the show that digs deep into the lives of Los Angeles street cops and homicide detectives, and what it's like to film some of its powerful action sequences in the very gang-filled neighborhoods Southland depicts.

In this exclusive clip, the producers dissect the tumultuous relationship between partners Detectives Lydia Adams (Regina King) and Russell Clarke (Tom Everett Scott). Hint: the word "love" comes up.
