In addition to the upcoming project, which was given a script commitment from NBC, DeGeneres' production company also plans to release a direct-to-video film starring the two cousins as versions of themselves. In the movie, Sophia Grace, 10, and Rosie, 7, are sent to be correspondents at a royal coronation where one of three princesses is going to be chosen to lead the country. The two girls find themselves caught up in royal intrigue as they help the best candidate win the throne. Production begins next month.
Sophia Grace and Rosie first hit the spotlight when their video, which featured them singing Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass," led to an appearance on Ellen in 2011. Since then, they've made several visits to the daytime show, have done red carpet interviews at awards shows, and have guest-starred twice on Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat.
