Sony Pictures Entertainment is coughing up $1.5 million to settle a class-action lawsuit filed by film fans misled by ads featuring raves from fictional film critic "David Manning of The Ridgefield Press." Moviegoers who saw Vertical Limit, A Knight's Tale, The Animal, Hollow Man or The Patriot during their theatrical runs must file a claim to be eligible for a $5 per ticket reimbursement. Any funds remaining will go to charity, namely the Outreach Program for People Who Disregard Movie Reviews.
