New Jersey Politician Proposes "Snookiville Law" to Regulate Reality TV Filming

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi

Most celebrities have their names on perfumes or fashion lines, but Snooki? She may have a piece of legislation named after her.

New Jersey politician Ronald Dancer has proposed a new bill dubbed the Snookiville Law that would allow towns to regulate reality shows filming in their area, the Associated Press reports.

Report: Jersey Shore's JWoww engaged to longtime boyfriend Roger

The bill, which was introduced by the Ocean County Republican Assemblyman on Monday, would also determine whether producers would have to contribute to covering additional law enforcement to deal with the increased crowds (and alcohol-fueled incidents) that reality shows like Jersey Shore attract.

But is the bill a little too late? Jersey Shore's final season wrapped filming in July, and Snooki and co-star JWoww's spin-off Snooki & JWoww hasn't caused any issues in nearby Manchester, where it films.
