SNL's Seth Meyers Denies Reports That He's Replacing Regis on Live!

Seth Meyers
Seth Meyers is shooting down reports that he's the lead contender to replace Regis Philbin as Kelly Ripa's co-host on Live!.
After Philbin retired in November, the show has tested out a series of co-hosts. As first reported by Showbiz 411, the list was apparently down to three contenders: former New York Giant Michael Strahan, Josh Groban and Meyers, with the Saturday Night Live head writer and Weekend Update anchor as the favorite.

But Meyers says not so fast. "No, no, no, no, no," Meyers told the Orlando Sun-Sentinel. "Right now, what I would say to you: I'm really in love with the job I have. I'm very excited to be going back [to Saturday Night Live] for the election season, which is always fun."
The SNL star has co-hosted Live! on various occasions and filmed his second show in a week-long guest-stint Tuesday.
