Siren Exclusive Sneak Peek: This Mermaid Has Lost Her Voice!

Freeform's newest fantasy drama, Siren, is all about mermaids, but don't expect them to be anything like those in the Disney version. These sirens are some of the fiercest predators in the sea, and though they do sing, they're not exactly hoping to be part of your world.

The one thing that does give us Ariel vibes, however, is the total lack of a voice this little mermaid, Ryn (Eline Powell) has. In this exclusive sneak peek, no matter hard the resident mermaid expert, Helen (Rena Owen) tries to communicate with her, Ryn just can't seem to find her voice.

Hissing, however? Hissing she's got down pat.

Here's hoping she finds a way to communicate sooner rather than later. Living in suspense wondering why she's decided to turn herself into a literal fish out of water is killing us!

Siren premieres with a two-hour special on Thursday, March 29 at 8/7c on Freeform.
