Fox Schedules Simpsons-Futurama Crossover, Hank Azaria Joins Bordertown

Futurama lives!

Fox has finally scheduled the crossover between the late Comedy Central animated comedy, which wrapped its seven-season run in Sept. 2013, and The Simpsons. The special episode will air this November. The crossover between the two shows, both created by Matt Groening, was first announced at last year's Comic-Con, and will feature the voices of Futurama vets Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal, Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, and Tress MacNeille.

This is in addition to the long-awaited Simpsons crossover with Family Guy that will air on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 9/8c.

In addition to Futurama's cast, Oscar winner Jane Fonda and Willem Dafoe will also lend their voices this season, which kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8/7c. Fonda will play Mr. Burns' girlfriend, Democratic Assemblywoman Maxine Lombard, and Dafoe will portray Bart's tough new teacher, Mr. Lassen.

Fox also announced several voice guests for the rest of the season, including Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman, Frasier's David Hyde PierceSarah Silverman, and Jeffrey Ross. Additionally, Judd Apatow will pen an upcoming special episode.

Elsewhere on the network, Offerman will also lend his vocal talents to the new season of Bob's Burgers. He'll be joined on the show's Season 5 guest roster by Kevin Kline, The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis, SNL alums Bill Hader and Molly Shannon, Parks and Rec's Aziz Ansari, Carl Reiner, Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Joe Lo Truglio and Key and Peele's Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael Key.

Fox announces fall premiere dates

Meanwhile, American Dad and Family Guy are adding to their guest-star ranks as well. 

Kim Kardashian, House of Cards' Corey Stoll and The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun will appear on the Fox finale of American Dad on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 9:30/8:30c before the show moves to TBS. A week earlier on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 9/8c, 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski and John Lutz will reunite as guest voice actors on the show's season premiere.

Julie Bowen, Liam Neeson and Allison Janney will also lend their voices to upcoming episodes of Family Guy.

Finally, Fox also announced that Emmy winner Hank Azaria, long known for his voice work on The Simpsons, will voice the lead character of Fox's new animated series Bordertownfrom Seth MacFarlane.
