He's heading back behind the judges' table
Simon Cowell is heading back behind the judges' table - this time on America's Got Talent.
Cowell, who created the Got Talent franchise across the pond, will replace Howard Stern as a judge on the reality competition's upcoming 11th season, NBC announced Thursday. He'll also continue to serve as executive producer.
"I am really thrilled to be joining America's Got Talent next season," Cowell said in a statement. "What I love about this show is that it's open to absolutely anyone. America has some fantastic talent just waiting to be discovered, and I would like that talent to come to our show, including any dogs who can sing!"

Cowell was previously on a judge on Fox's American Idol, which he also produced, as well as a mentor on Fox's short-lived version of The X Factor.
America's Got Talent will return this summer.
