Showtime has green-lit a documentary about comedian Tig Notaro, the network announced Tuesday.

Knock Knock, It's Tig Notaro follows the comedian as she travels across the country to put on a series of private comedy performances for her most loyal fans in their homes.

The documentary, executive-produced by Notaro, Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver, has already kicked off a nationwide search for fans who are interested in hosting a performance.

Notaro rose to fame in 2012 when she began addressing her recent breast cancer diagnoses and subsequent health struggles in her comedy act.

Known for her roles on The Sarah Silverman Program and Inside Amy Schumer, she will next appear in feature films In a World and Walk of Shame.
