Showtime has canceled its Matt LeBlanc series, Episodes, after five seasons, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

"Episodes' scathing portrait of network executives has kept me on my best behavior these last several years, for which I am grudgingly grateful to Jeffrey and David," said Gary Levine, Showtime's president of programming, in a statement. "I love this show and can't wait to see what comic heights Matt and company will scale during the fifth and final season of our inspired series."

Matt LeBlanc will star in a CBS comedy from That '70s Show writers

On the show, LeBlanc plays a heightened, fictional version of himself who is cast as the lead of the American remake of a British series created by a husband-and-wife team.
