Sometimes the best way to deal with controversy over art is to wear it with pride. Like, literally wear it.
Actress Leslie Mann posted to Instagram a picture of her with her husband and Girls producer Judd Apatow both wearing a shirt with drawings of a nude Lena Dunham on it. To be clear, it's one shirt. They're both wearing one shirt. At the same time.
Mann captioned the image "Inside @lenadunham," and the shirt features sketches of Dunham's many nude or partially nude scenes from her HBO series Girls.
Dunham has received flack over her fondness for going in the buff, with Dunham facing one of her critics head on at the Television Critics Association tour in January. When asked why her character Hannah Horvath is so often naked "for no reason," Dunham said, "It's because it's a realistic expression of what it's like to be alive, I think. And I totally get it if you're not into me. That's your problem."
But what does Dunham think of the shirt? She Instagrammed a photo of the shirt two months ago, saying, "This t-shirt by @clashist is the most delightful thing that's ever happened to me." What do you think of the shirt?
