On the cable side, Lazar likes AMC's Breaking Bad and HBO's The Newsroom and Girls. Of the latter, she says, "It reminds me of a less glamorous, cartoony, fantastical version of Sex and the City. It's raw; it's real. You relate to all the characters. ... Lena Dunham is a genius. She is fearless on camera."
Her favorites also include the YouTube series Nerdist's 4 Points and the women-centric WIGS, Netflix's upcoming revival of Arrested Development and, of course, her own show, What's Trending.
What's Trending, a live weekly talk show, recently switched to a daily schedule (noon/PT on its YouTube channel). In addition to showcasing videos, the show offers original content, celebrity interviews, and commentary from Lazar and her guests on the latest news stories.
