Sharknado Sharknado

Syfy is moving forward with a sequel to their social media hit Sharknado, the network announced Tuesday. And this time the flying sharks are heading to the Big Apple!

"Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm — on television," Syfy Executive Vice President Thomas Vitale said in a statement."The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel. What we can guarantee is that Sharknado 2 will be lots of fun. We'll be announcing more details very soon. But we didn't want our fans to worry they wouldn't get their fill of more shark fin, I mean, fun next year," said

24 (not-so) guilty-pleasure shows!

Though Sharknado

, which premiered on July 11, didn't do so hot in the ratings, the campy film took Twitter by storm. Syfy has decided to capitalize on its social popularity by running a Twitter contest to help name the movie with an appropriate (and ridiculous) subtitle. To add your suggestion to the running, tweet your subtitle to @SyfyMovies using #Sharknado. What do you think Sharknado 2 should be called?
