Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller is expecting her second child just two years after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Miller, who has won seven Olympic medals for gymnastics, underwent surgery to remove her left ovary and a malignant tumor in January 2011. She then received nine weeks of aggressive chemotherapy. "I've been blessed to have the opportunity to do some amazing things in my life, but being a mom is second to none," Miller said in a statement on her website.

Miller, 35, married John Falconetti in 2008, and the two welcomed son John Rocco the following year.

After competing in the 1992 summer Olympics in Barcelona, in which she won two silver medals and three bronze medals, Miller won two gold medals at the 1996 Atlanta games. Miller currently runs a female health and fitness company and also has a foundation dedicated to fighting childhood obesity.
