Rogen, who stars as Britt Reid/the Hornet in the 2010 film and co-wrote the script, co-writer Evan Goldberg and director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) presented a first look at the souped-up black 1966 Chrysler Imperial that the Green Hornet and his sidekick Kato drive.
Watch as a very svelte Rogen explains how they settled on this particular super-vehicle:
Gondry replaces Hong Kong comedian Stephen Chow as the adaptation's director, according to the Associated Press. Chow quit the production (he was also set to play Kato) to focus on developing another superhero movie with Jack Black.
Goldberg told MTV that Cameron Diaz is in talks to play Lenore "Casey" Case, Reid's secretary. He also said that Nicolas Cage will be playing a new villain, a gangster named Chudnofsky.
"We're writing and we're building sets," Rogen told MTV. "We're coordinating the stunts and fights and chases and we're going through all that stuff. It's crazy."
