VIDEO: Seth Meyers Blasts Donald Trump at White House Correspondents Dinner

Donald Trump's presidential ambitions proved to be great fodder for Seth Meyers when he hosted the annual White House Correspondents Dinner Saturday.

"Donald Trump has said he's running for president as a Republican — which is surprising because I thought he was running as a joke," joked the Saturday Night Live head writer who anchors the NBC program's "Weekend Update" segment.

President Barack Obama got in some zingers at Trump, too. "No one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than 'the Donald,'" Obama said, alluding to Trump's claims that he was responsible for solving the issue.

As for Trump's decision to fire Gary Busey instead of Meat Loaf from Celebrity Apprentice recently, Obama cracked: "These are the types of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well handled, sir."

Meyers, 37, took aim at Trump in other ways Saturday night. "Donald Trump owns the Miss USA pageant, which is great for Republicans because it will streamline their search for a vice president," Meyers said, taking an apparent jab at 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Suffice it to say, dinner attendee Trump did not appear to find Meyers' remarks funny.
