Fox Pulls Family Guy After Clip Hoax Portraying Boston Marathon Bombing
Fox has pulled a March episode of Family Guy after a mash-up of clips made the series look like it was portraying a bombing at the Boston Marathon.
In the clip, which has nearly 140,000 views on YouTube, a scene from the March 17 episode, "Turban Cowboy," depicts Peter Griffin accidentally blowing up a bridge while using a terrorist's cell phone. However, the clip places that scene directly after an unrelated one, in which Bob Costas asks Peter Griffin how he won the Boston Marathon.
Obama: Boston Marathon bombings an "act of terror"; no suspect in custody
"The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent," Seth MacFarlane tweeted Tuesday. "The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims."

The episode has been yanked from Fox.com and Hulu and the network has no immediate plans to air it again.
Monday's explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon claimed the lives of three people and injured more than 175 others. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the heinous acts, which President Barack Obama has called an "act of terror."
