What Does Selena Gomez's New Back Tattoo Mean?

We only have to look at the skin of our hottest young pop stars for words of wisdom, and a new entry into the flesh-and-blood book of inspiration has recently been inked. The page? Selena Gomez.

The 21-year-old starlet has added to her collection of tats with a four-inch work of art across the right side of her back, under her shoulder. 

Celebrity tans gone wrong

The tattoo was revealed by celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy, who posted a picture of the "Come and Get It" singer's new ink to Instagram. McCurdy told E! Online that Gomez got the tattoo about a month ago and that she had been wanting it for a while.

But what is the meaning of the tattoo? It's Arabic for "Love Yourself First," according to E! Online. There's no word on whether Justin Bieber has one that says, "No, you should love ME first."
