Sean Kingston has been moved from the trauma unit to intensive care after crashing his Jet Ski Sunday evening in Florida, People.com reports. According to a rep from the "Beautiful Girls" singer's record label, he is stabilized, as of Monday morning.
"Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time," Kingston's publicist, Joseph Carozza, told People in a statement.
Kingston and a female companion were both injured when their watercraft hit the Palm Island Beach bridge. They were headed West from the MacArthur Causeway and Miami Beach Islands before the crash, which put them both in the water. "A good Samaritan tended to the two of them until Miami Beach Fire Rescue arrived and saw there were injuries," said Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino. He also added that "nothing at this point would indicate that alcohol played a role."
Rapper Trav, who's collaborated with Kingston, told UsMagazine.com that he visited the 21-year-old Kingston in the hospital and "he is good in stable condition."
