Scientology Is Launching Its Own TV Network

The Church of Scientology is launching its own round-the-clock network, and it's happening soon.

As originally reported by Deadline, the embattled organization -- which was recently the subject of the disturbing HBO documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief -- will roll out its 24/7 programming feed on DirecTV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast and Apple starting Monday, March 12th.

The network is expected to feature original content and instructional videos about the foundational principles of the organization, which spawned from the works of science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. According to a description of the network, programming will include Meet a Scientologist, Voices for Humanity and L. Ron Hubbard: In His Own Voice. The network will also air what the church refers to as "Scientology Principles" films detailing "basic Scientology technology."

No word yet on whether any of the most famous and supportive Scientologists, such as Tom Cruise, John Travolta or Elisabeth Moss, will participate in the network's programming slate.

After leaving the Church of Scientology, actress Leah Remini launched her own series on A&E inspired by her harrowing ordeal inside the organization. The Emmy Award-winning series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath can currently be viewed on A&E's website.
