Former Saturday Night Live cast member Darrell Hammond will return to Studio 8H as the show's new announcer, NBC has announced. He'll begin the new gig at the start of the upcoming season.

Saturday Night Live: Our dream hosts!

Hammond appeared on the sketch show from 1995-2009, longer than any other cast member in the show's 39 years. The comedian is best known for his impressions of Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Sen. John McCain, Donald Trump and Sir Sean Connery, to name a few. Hammond has since guest-starred on Damages and Are We There Yet?, and was a judge this year on NBC's Sing Your Face Off.

The 58-year-old replaces longtime announcer Don Pardo, who died last month at the age of 96.

Saturday Night Live returns on Sept. 27 with host Chris Pratt and musical guest Ariana Grande.
