One of TV's busiest stars is adding another gig to his resume.
The Million Second Quiz is a 12-day, 24-hour event that sees competitors battle each other over trivia questions. The American Idol host would also serve as an executive producer on the project, which will be filmed live from an hourglass-shaped structure in Manhattan that also serves as the contestants' home during the competition.
The new role comes after Seacrest signed a contract with NBCUniversal in April 2012. Since then, he has guest co-hosted Today and contributed to the channel's Olympics coverage, in addition to executive-producing shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Shahs of Sunset for NBC's various cable channels.
