Despite rumors of her firing, Rosie Perez will return to co-hostThe View on Feb. 3, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Scoop on returning winter shows
Perez joined Rosie O'Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg and Nicolle Wallace at The View table four months ago, but the actress took a break from the series this month to rehearse for Larry David's upcoming Broadway play Fish in the Dark.
Last week, Variety reported Perez would not be returning to The View following her rehearsals because the producers wanted to find a younger host to replace her. However, ABC has dismissed the rumors.
"We look forward to welcoming the multi-talented Rosie Perez back to her seat as co-host on the panel on Feb. 3 after completing rehearsals," a rep for ABC said in a statement. "She brings her rich life experience and passion to the table, something we've sorely missed while she's been away."
