This just in: Rosemarie DeWitt is leaving The Newsroom, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Dewitt is reportedly leaving because of a scheduling conflict brought on by a shift in the story line and subsequently a change in her shooting schedule. The 41-year-old actress had signed on for the recurring role of Rebecca Halliday, a litigator who defends News Night's network, Atlantis Cable News, in a wrongful termination lawsuit. DeWitt had shot a few episodes and will be replaced with another actress, who will reshoot her scenes.

"As the production schedule for season two of The Newsroom has shifted, Rosemarie DeWitt has encountered scheduling conflicts and will no longer be able to continue in her role," HBO said in a statement to the magazine.

DeWitt was one of several new faces set to appear in Season 2, along with Patton Oswalt and Grace Gummer. DeWitt is best known for her roles on Mad Men and United States of Tara and can currently be seen in Promised Land.
