Ronnie Claire Edwards, Star of The Waltons, Is Dead At 83

She was best known for her role as Corabeth Godsey in the 70s TV series.

Ronnie Claire Edwards, best known for her role as Corabeth Godsey in the 1970s TV series The Waltons, has passed away at the age of 83. The news of her death was posted on the actress' Facebook page, which stated she died in her sleep.

Edwards was born in Oklahoma City in 1933, and would go on to appear in over 100 episodes of The Waltons, first appearing inthe show's third season. After The Waltons, Edwards went on to star in Boone, which ran for one season on NBC, as well as Sara, which also ran for one season on NBC and co-starred a young Bill Maher, Geena Davis and Alfre Woodard.

In addition, the actress appeared on numerous series including Dynasty, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Falcon Crest, Dallas and Murder, She Wrote.
