Mitt Romney by Jim Rogash/WireImage.com

Democratic senator Barack Obama may have a certain someone stumping for him, but Republican hopeful Mitt Romney is out in front of all presidential contenders as far as the number of TV spots he has ponied up. According to Nielsen, Romney through Nov. 11 had placed 16,876 spots to Obama's 10,217, with Hillary Clinton coming in a distant third with 7,823.

Overall, the Dems are by a wide margin outpimping the GOP, with the next Republican hopeful, Law & Order alum Fred Thompson, placing seventh overall, with 1,068 spots.
