Wallaby darned, Netflix's Rocko's Modern Life movie finally has a release date. The streaming service announced on Tuesday that Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, the follow-up film to the hit Nickelodeon animated series which ran from 1993 to 1996, will premiere on Friday, August 9.

As the above teaser shows, Rocko will return to O-Town after spending the last two decades stuck in outer space and find that things have changed quite a bit. (Perhaps a more appropriate title for the pic would be Rocko's Even More Modern Life, but here we are.) Rocko will have to learn to adjust to his pals Heffer and Filburt, and the whole town by extension, being obsessed with new-age tech, like touch-screen O-Phones and the instant-print kiosk that has taken over his old job at Kind-of-a-Lot-O-Comics.

The film hails from the show's creators, Joe Murray and Mr. Lawrence, and writer Martin Olson. It also features the return of primary voice actors Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko), Tom Kenny (Heifer), Mr. Lawrence (Filburt), Charlie Adler (Mr. and Mrs. Bighead).

Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling will debut on Netflix on Friday, August 9. Nickelodeon's original Rocko's Modern Life series is available for streaming on SlingTV and Amazon Prime Video (for purchase).
