Unlike a lot of celebrities, Rob Lowe is not afraid to let his political flag fly high on Twitter - as evidenced by his pointed and controversial posts about Middle Eastern refugees just minutes after the terrorist attacks in Paris in November.
Now The Grinder actor is coming under fire again in response to his tweets during the Democratic debate Monday night, in which he pushed back on Bernie Sanders' tax proposals. (And, to be clear, his yelling.)
Watching Bernie Sanders. He's hectoring and yelling at me WHILE he's saying he's going to raise our taxes. Interesting way to communicate.— Rob Lowe (@RobLowe) January 26, 2016
Despite some coming back hard at Lowe ("Because you can't afford to pay taxes???" one user wrote back) he was unfazed and unmoved, ending his diatribe with a clip from Sam Seaborn, the character and communications director he portrayed on The West Wing, who apparently sums up Lowe's thoughts on taxation.

Do you agree with Lowe?
