Aliens conquered the box office for the second straight weekend despite strong debuts from four new films. Men in Black II was the No. 1 movie for a second weekend, grossing $25 million. That brings its 12-day total to $133.3 million. Oscar shoo-in Road to Perdition starring Tom Hanks and Paul Newman as Depression-era hitmen debuted at No. 2 with a potent $22.1 million. Perdition's opening is even more impressive when you consider that Sam Mendes's acclaimed drama played in half as many theaters as MiB II. Also off and running: Dragonslayer epic Reign of Fire (No. 3 with $16 million), Halloween: Resurrection (No. 4 with $12.3 million) and The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (No. 6 with $10 million).
