What happens when David Brent and Michael Scott come face to face on The Office Thursday?

In this clip, filmed back in September, Ricky Gervais' Brent and Steve Carell's Scott briefly meet at an elevator outside Dunder Mifflin. The two become fast friends thanks to their common love for the punch line "that's what she said." In a nod to Carell's impending departure from the NBC sitcom, David inquires about job openings at the paper company.

Gervais, 49, starred as Brent on the British version of The Office from 2001 to 2003. He's an executive producer on the U.S. adaptation, which debuted in 2005.
