Rescue Me isn't returning with fresh episodes until April of 2009, putting nearly two years between Seasons 4 and 5. To bridge that
Sopranos-esque, strike-induced gap, FX has a batch of 10 five-minute "minisodes" to unspool starting Tuesday, June 24, at 10 pm/ET (leading into
30 Days). Each Wednesday morning, the latest segment can be viewed at Crackle.com.
Described as "comedic" and "standalone," the minisodes feature regular cast members Denis Leary, Adam Ferrara, Michael Lombardi, Steven Pasquale, Andrea Roth, John Scurti, Daniel Sunjata and Callie Thorne. (Tatum O'Neal was never expected to participate.)
Some of the storylines to be (efficiently!) covered include Sean struggling to fast; the gang discussing their criteria for a good bar; and Tommy's erotic fantasies taking a turn for the worse. -
