An adaptation of the Australian series, Wilfred follows Ryan (Elijah Wood), who is struggling unsuccessfully to make his way in the world until he forms a unique friendship with a canine who he sees as a man in a cheap dog suit. Wilfred was followed by the second season premiere of Louie, which brought in 1.6 million viewers, the most-watched single episode of the series.

Over on USA, Burn Notice returned with 5.2 million viewers, increasing 20 percent over its Fall 2010 premiere. Following Burn Notice, USA's new series Suits, starring Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, drew 4.6 million viewers.

So You Think You Can Dance sends four dancers packing

On broadcast, ABC's Rookie Blue debuted its second season with 5.88 million viewers, down from last year's series premiere of 7.2 million viewers. It was preceded by the series premiere of adventure competition Expedition Impossible, which drew 7.05 million viewers.

Fox's So You Think You Can Dance was the night's other non-repeat airing. The results show, which saw four dancers eliminated, was watched by 6.3 million viewers.
