CBS led the way Thursday on an overall down night.

The Big Bang Theory drew 15.7 million viewers and a 4.5, falling a full point from its last original. Two and a Half Men (12.4 million, 3.3) dropped six-tenths, while Person of Interest (14.6 million, 2.9) was up a tenth and Elementary (11.5 million, 2.4) was flat.

TV characters we can live without

American Idol's first elimination episode (11.6 million, 3.0) hit a new low for a regularly scheduled episode, down six-tenths from last week.Glee (5.5 million, 2.0) slipped four-tenths.
Grey's Anatomy (8.1 million, 2.6), ABC's only new program of the night, also slid to an all-time low.
On NBC, Community (2.6 million, 1.0) hit a series low and The Office (3.5 million, 1.9) was down a tenth. Parks and Recreation (3 million, 1.6) and 1600 Penn (2.3 million, 1.0) both grew.
