CBS' broadcast of the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards hit a high note on Sunday night, as the show pulled in its largest audience since 2000.

The award show, which featured performances by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Eminem, averaged 26.66 million viewers over its three-and-a-half hour broadcast , according to Nielsen estimates. Viewership was up three percent from a year ago, and the show also scored its best rating in the adults-18-to-49 demographic since 2004.

60 Minutes smartly aired Anderson Cooper's interview with Lady Gaga just before the Grammys. The newsmagazine drew 12. 1 million viewers and easily won the 7/6c timeslot.

While NBC aired Harry's Law repeats, Fox and ABC ran original episodes. Fox's animated lineup finished second to the Grammys in the demo, but averaged only 4.6 million viewers over the two-hour block. ABC pulled in more viewers than Fox, butDesperate Housewives(9.1 million viewers) and Brothers & Sisters(6.4 million viewers) each hit series lows in the demo.
