With its all-star lineup of returning shows, ABC won Thursday night in its demo break-downs, but took some year-over-year ratings hits (as did the other 'nets), while CBS won in total overall viewers. The numbers:

8 pm
CBS led with Survivor, scoring 13 million viewers overall. My Name Is Earl held steady with 6.1 mil, and Ugly Betty placed third with 8.5 mil.

9 pm
Grey's Anatomy led the pack like a pro, but was down 20 percent from last year with 16 mil - one of its lowest numbers to date. The Eye's CSI came in second with 16.7 mil, while The Office saw 7.6 mil and 30 Rock saw 5.5 mil at 9:30 pm.

10 pm
ABC's Lost won the hour by demo-category wins, but had just 12.4 million viewers, compared to CBS' Without a Trace, with 13.5 mil overall. ER followed with 7.4 mil. - Anna Dimond
