The legal trouble continues for Randy and Evi Quaid: The couple faces arrest warrants after failing to show for a court hearing stemming from their arrests last month on suspicion of illegally squatting at a home, a prosecutor told The Associated Press.

The $50,000 warrants were issued following their scheduled arraignment on Monday in Santa Barbara, Calif., on a felony vandalism charge. The Quaids were arrested last month and accused of causing more than $5,000 in damage to a guest house of a Montecito, Calif., home they previously owned.

An e-mail to their attorney, Robert Sanger,  who worked on a previous criminal case, was not immediately returned.

The couple was also arrested in Santa Barbara in April on outstanding warrants after showing up to court two weeks late stemming from an arrest in September 2009 for allegedly ducking out on a $10,000-plus hotel tab in Santa Barbara County. After not showing up for a previous court hearing, they pleaded not guilty to fraud charges. The felony charges were later dropped against Randy, and Evi was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered to perform 240 hours of community service.
